SCARED TO LOVE

SCARED TO LOVE

When love lurks,

My heart leaps

Like a frightened frog.

I become like a bewildered teenager,

Still toying with puberty.

Love is not the thing I dread.

My fears; I do not even know.

But when love comes knocking,

My heart keeps me behind closed doors.

I want to embrace her,

Making her stay strong

And last long:

But, my timid heart chooses to let go.

It echoes again and again.

What if love prang?

What if love is just a passer-by?

When these thoughts make my head to bang,

I chose to leave the door shut.

Driving love to bay

And making her go away.
